    • 3d Illustration

I've been working with Fold app to intergrate 3d illustration into their brand, marketing and app. Starting with the release of their bitcoin buying experience, where we introduced a 3d robot mascot and collection of imaginative machines to simplify complex concepts in a simple, but hopefully fun way.

Since then, we have expanded the visual identity by introducing new characters, scenes, elements, and icons with more to come.

This version of the site focuses more on their main cloud gaming and analytics products, using illustration and animation to highlight the main uses their customers have for Heroic's services.

Mibex is a Zurich based software development agency focused on creating solutions for Atlassian's development tools. I created their new branding and illustration packed marketing site.

The brief was to update the overall look and feel of the company, communicating that they are professional and technical, while also including a more friendly side of the company in the form of a 'helper robot'. Everything Mibex do is to aid the developer, so this visual metaphor made sense on multiple levels.

  • Interseller

    • Branding
    • Web design
    • Illustration

I worked with Interseller.io on new branding, illustration and marketing website.

The name Interseller is of course a nice pun on the word 'interstellar', combining their core business of lead sourcing, connecting with potential new business opportunities and the metaphor of exploring space, seeking out new planets etc.

I created a mascot in the form of a friendly space bear to be the lead explorer, making the otherwise admittedly slightly dry topic of lead generation more fun and memorable.

I worked with New York based startup Timber, on new branding, marketing website, illustration and animation.

Timber make the traditionally difficult task of monitoring data logs easy, with their new interface that streamlines and modernises the whole process.

We used the idea of logs and data logging to create a visual style that injects a bit of fun into what could otherwise be a relatively dry subject matter, by running with the obvious link between the world of logging and Lumberjacks, and all things that go along with that visual metaphor.

  • Heroic Labs v1

    • Web design
    • Illustration

I worked with London based startup Heroic Labs on their new marketing website and supporting illustration.

Heroic Labs provide a backend platform for game developers to quickly build new games and easily add new features to existing games and apps.

I used the idea of scaffolding combined with the classic gaming convention of 'platforms', as a basis for the illustrations. This along with other visual metaphors, like gaming in the 'cloud' and multiple device types, are used to describe what Heroic do at a high-level.

The use of illustration and iconography along with a vibrant but limited colour palette creates a feeling of 'gaming fun' as well as being informative.

  • Dextro

I worked with New York based Dextro on their new marketing website and illustration.

Dextro are a 'computer vision' company, their technology analyses video to determine it's content. They make videos discoverable, searchable, and curatable using machine learning.

I used a combination of photography, illustration and proposed the use of video in the final design, in order to fully describe the different features Dextro has to offer.

I created a number of iterations to decide on the best route for the hero area on the home page. Finally arriving at the idea of using video overlaid with graphics that describe the content within.

    • Illustration

I worked with Cambridge based marketing analytics experts Korrall, on new branding, dashboard UI and marketing website design.

Korrall wanted to take a fun and friendly approach to their company persona, but most importantly their overall look and feel needed to be easily understandable and simplistic.

The process started when I created a colourful set of icons that influenced the whole design process and led onto how data is displayed on the dashboard.

The marketing site reflects this, using simple yet brightly coloured sections alongside photography and custom iconography. It should be live very soon.

I worked with San Francisco based JavaScript platform Meteor JS on new branding and marketing website. The brief was to combine an 'outer space' theme with a more professional and established look than they had previously.

We decided on a bold colour scheme of red and black, and added a fun 'space exploration' feel with custom iconography and subtle fractal patterns used throughout the brand and website.

It was amazing to see the Meteor branding being used literally all over the world in 112 different cities during the recent worldwide Meteor Day.

  • Love & Hate infographic

    • Illustration

Working with New York based Articulate, I designed an illustrated infographic to display the results of a recent survey into what their users love and hate about online e-learning.

I created a number of unique icons to highlight various statistics throughout the infographic. I wanted to create something visually striking and different from what you might normally expect from an inforgraphic. I think restricting the use of colour, using only black, white and blue helps to achieve this, and it ended up being a style I am very proud of

I worked with New York based TriggerMail on their new marketing site.

The idea behind the site was to use illustration to explain the relatively complex subject of triggered email for e-commerce websites.

I used a bright colour palette, mixed with illustrations to get across the company ethos - that they are highly technical, yet approachable offering an easy to use service.

    • Illustration

Working with Chicago based Page Puppet, I designed a new user interface for their CMS and marketing website.

The brief was to create something visually striking, yet simple to understand. I came up with illustrations based on their tag line of "The most design friendly CMS on the planet" as a starting point to be able to create a visual theme that the company could use moving forward.

I kept the design of the user interface clean and simple, as the CMS can expand to contain a large number of different modules. The final site should be live very soon.
